I have this dry ash catcher and the large one with the downstem. This is my preferred piece. I just add little water and it works great! It is also significantly smaller and lighter so it doesn't have weird balance. I never had a problem with the larger one tipping my piece, but I did worry about it. I got the 90° angle one so it would work in both of my pieces. I then got an angled connector for my large beaker. Then I can switch between the two as desired.
