I bought this in order to submerge the end of the downstream an inch deeper in my bong. This allows the bubbles to hang out a few milliseconds under water which cleans things up for a smoother hit.
The thing is that during use bubbles are only really being formed through the percolator holes farthest from the downsteam end.

This was the exact piece I needed. I had received mismatched sizes from another company for a rig I purchased to replace one that had broken. Long story short, they didn't help resolve the issue, so I found the exact piece I needed here on TAG!!!
